About us

The Community Pre-School has provided care and education for children in the local community for 40 years. Our mission statement is to work on the basis that praise is better than criticism, promoting a safe, happy and stimulating environment in which children have the opportunity to learn. We encourage the individuality of each child, not only culturally, but also respecting their needs to be adventurous and challenged, quiet and in their own space.

We follow a wide and varied curriculum following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

We cover the seven areas of learning:

• Communication and language
• Physical Development
• Maths
• Literacy
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design
